Yes, I know what you're saying. Right now you would have to move it by
changing it's x and y. I don't really know how you can make "forward" work
with this approach, though.

Well, then we go back to the first versions of the graphing tools, remember?
Where you had a PointGraph containing its own "coordinate system" and a
collection of "points". I feel perfectly fine with that approach but IIRC it
was decided that these tools were too specific, and all you really need to
build a graph is a pair of number lines.
