Scott Wallace updated SQ-217:
Fix Version: someday
This is a project that has nifty effects, so it might be nice to have it available somewhere on the web site or perhaps even in the squeakland distribution. However: it uses no etoy scripts, but rather only features like "mouse-up actions" that are outside the ken of nearly every etoy user, child or adult, and it is far from straightforward to discover how it is built and what makes it work.
It *ought* to be possible to rewrite this as an etoy project with scripts, even if some of those scripts are textually coded. Unless/until that is done, I think, with apologies to its author, that this project may not be appropriate for squeakland.

> A morph (here I use a subclass of star) is given a sunflower seed like step behavior.
> In the project other morphs have been given mouse up actions to create, start, step, stop and delete a growing sunflower.
> At each step each seed simply moves forward a small amount.
> The seed at the center of the screen sets its color according to its direction and creates a new seed as it moves away.
> This simple behavior local behavior creates something globally very interesting.
> This demo has fixed parameters. As such it only does its one thing.
> I figure others will want to vary the behavior or expand on what is started here.
> Even as it stands it would be interesting to set and let run on a screen to attract interest at a conference booth.
> Activate by loading and pressing the buttons.
> Yours in curiosity and service, Jerome Peace
