I don't see how this could ever have worked the way it is now...
Player>>getListening asks for WsWorldStetoscope>>default
and WsWorldStetoscope>>default returns ^self new...
The new instance do not have the state the instance you are using, so it is
pointless to ask if it is listening.

Wonder if this way of fixing it is to hackish ?

all := WsWorldStethoscope allInstances.
all ifEmpty:[^self new].
^all first
